Dr. Anika Chandra
Sleep Science Editor
Who is Dr. Anika Chandra?
Anika runs the sleep desk and authored our 128-night polysomnography reference protocol — the test set that lets us say, with a straight face, that one wearable’s sleep-stage detection actually beats another’s. Before joining the publication she spent six years in an accredited sleep lab running PSG nights and three years leading the digital-CBT-I program at a regional behavioral health network.
She bylines every sleep, recovery and wind-down review on the site, and is the peer reviewer on every meditation review where the claimed mechanism touches sleep onset, sleep latency or HRV. Anika is the reason we score CBT-I apps separately from generic sleep trackers, and the reason our methodology gives data integrity & privacy a real weight rather than a footnote — she has strong opinions about who owns your overnight respiratory data.
She refuses to use a sleep tracker on Saturdays.
